Overview
Responsible for leading the programme of Supply Chain and Operations projects aligned with the organisation's broader goals. Plan, research, initiate, execute and manage technical operations projects working collaboratively with key stakeholders in Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Suppliers to achieve defined goals and metrics. Develop programme and project management systems, processes and procedures that facilitate best practice in working in ways that engage with stakeholders whilst ensuring good governance and control. |
What You’ll Be Doing
· Take the lead in project management and the implementation of standards, processes, documents and supporting tools, systems and applications in order to develop the project management capability within WD-40 Company EIMEA. · Work with leaders across EIMEA to help define the pipeline of work needed to meet the Business Plan and direct the programmes and projects within the portfolio of work to ensure that critical needs of the supply chain and the wider company are met. · Leads a program of multiple strategic and tactical Supply Chain projects, covering the following responsibilities: o Accountable for ensuring successful implementation of projects to on time, to specification and within budget. o Shapes, defines and initiates projects to meet business requirements in line with annual business plan objectives, and as requested or agreed by functional leaders. o Ensures there are sound business cases against all projects undertaken, working closely with Finance and project sponsors. o Negotiates, agrees and monitors project objectives, scope, deliverables, timescales and budgets throughout the lifecycle of the project. o Develops and maintains detailed and realistic project plans using appropriate tools. Identify and manage project dependencies and the critical path. o Determines and agrees project success measures and tolerances with the project sponsors. o Leads and motivates the project team, resolving any conflicts or people issues. o Ensures control and engagement through project meetings and steering groups as appropriate. Organises and drives the agendas for project meetings and “check-ins” as required. o Communicates and consults with business stakeholders. Meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations. o Identifies, records, manages and mitigates risks, to prevent them becoming problems, judging when to escalate. o Controls and manages changes in project scope or requirements, negotiating as necessary with business stakeholders.
