In this role, you’ll partner with the Brand & Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute annual and 5-year strategic brand & digital marketing plans and strategies for assigned brands to include: eCommerce marketing, advertising, public relations, promotions, collateral, market research, and packaging.
This role is based in our Toronto office and offers the flexibility of working a hybrid schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing
DIGITAL & BRAND MARKETING – Responsible for supporting the Canadian website development collaborating with U.S. Engagement & Brand Marketing teams in alignment with Global Digital and Brand strategy. Plan and create engaging online content including videos, forums, and blogs. Track KPIs for end-user engagement, monitor success and report out to Canadian Tribe.
- Collaborates with leaders and brand teams to develop, communicate, and implement the Canadian Strategic vision, goals, and plans to achieve EBITDA and sales goals. Contributes to the strategic and conceptual development of broad marketing plans, programs, and promotions.
- Implement and monitor Brand and eCommerce channel plans and strategies to achieve sales, EBITDA, and growth objectives.
- Monitors and reports on budgets, forecasts, plans, programs, measures of success, and ROI relative to brand and eCommerce programs.
- Collaborates in collecting and synthesizing a broad array of data inputs from research, sales, brand, digital, CCD, and innovation to independently define the wide overarching opportunities that translate into the activation and execution of brand and eCommerce plans and strategies.
- Responsible for coordinating the distribution/publication of content and other digital assets (product imagery, product specs, videos, long and short product descriptions, social media sample content, SEO keywords, etc.) to support online selling of products on the Company and online retailer's/distributor's eCommerce websites.
- Contributes to product development by actively scrutinizing product reviews by providing market insights, sales performance, and customer trends.
- Understands shopper and channel insights and brand strategic growth drivers to develop and communicate the plans. Responsible for end-user insight generation and developing clear target market segmentation recommendations.
eCOMMERCE SALES & MARKETING - Responsible for developing our Canadian eCommerce growth strategies that support our eCommerce enabled retailers & provide support of emerging Pure Play retailers (i.e., Amazon, eBay).
- Responsible for completing new eCommerce item set-up forms and current product portfolio updates through third-party platforms (e.g., Salsify) and publishing to online customers.
- Participates in the development of brand and eCommerce marketing objectives, strategies, channel plans, and reporting of related metrics in line with overarching brand strategies to achieve eCommerce sales and profit contribution goals
- Collaborates with Canada & U.S. brand marketing and digital teams on development, administration, and management of online sell-in marketing assets. Supports developing and communicating go-to-market strategies for the eCommerce channel in Canada.
- Responsible for eCommerce digital marketing execution to ensure defined brand story and marketing campaigns are implemented at online point of sale.
- Collaborates with Canadian & U.S. brand and digital teams to implement specific digital eCommerce initiatives (e.g., campaigns, promotions, sweepstakes, etc.) on eCommerce sites to promote brand-building activities.
- Works with brand and Innovation teams in the pre-launch/launch strategy, planning process and in eCommerce execution process of new or renovated products. Works with brand teams in the creation of launch plans, including positioning, messaging, marketing material, communication plan, PR, metrics, customer, and sales plans as it relates to eCommerce.
- Responsible for supporting the planning, management, implementation, and coordination of marketing activities for all brands on Company and Customer eCommerce 1st party and 3rd party websites. Responsible for coordinating with Sales Manager(s) and key customer vendor management teams to gain understanding and alignment on annual eCommerce channel business plans).
- Acts as Amazon Marketing Services and general eCommerce expert. Sets up eCommerce retailer/distributor specific ads and promotions, ensures SEO optimization and content integrity. Shares knowledge with marketing and sales teams, as required.
- Responsible for the back-end management of eCommerce publishing, digital reporting and engagement tools for data analysis, and associated Marketing Technology (SaaS) tools (e.g., Salsify, AMS).
- Responsible for tracking eCommerce marketing activity KPIs and for monthly reporting and data analysis (e.g., Analyze Amazon Retail Analytics data for everyday and event/promo sales to develop an action plan to sustain growth), including monitoring competitive activity.
Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks related to major Canadian Retailers, including sell sheet preparation, listing forms, price surveys, and SKU lists.
- Assist sales team in creating and developing national promotions for assigned brands to achieve sales goals.
- Support the preparation of marketing presentations and monthly reports.
- Ad hoc data analysis as required
- Participate in sales & marketing meetings
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- 2+ years of similar experience in consumer-packaged goods or related space with at least one year in digital marketing experience
- Solid understanding of marketing and business fundamentals
- Entrepreneurial and self-starter with the utmost sense of ownership and urgency for the eCommerce future of the brand
- Strong interpersonal and Leadership skills required to influence without authority with internal stakeholders to lead cross-functional projects and with external to lead Media/Creative, packaging, Research projects
- Ability to successfully manage multiple and competing priorities
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Solid presentation skills
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with reporting accuracy
- Passion & enthusiasm to learn
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
