The purpose of this position is to ensure that the company’s requirements pertaining to legal and ethic compliance, company policies and standards are managed and fully implemented, and that associated enterprise risks are mitigated. The position requires attention to good governance standards and compliance. The Global Compliance Director is an effective leader of global compliance programs to ensure that legal and ethnics compliance is adhered to and business objectives are met in the most cost-effective manner, attuned to company values. This role is responsible for the correct prioritization of resources in the execution of the functions, so that truly material matters receive the appropriate allocation of time, talent and treasure, while less material matters are dealt with as efficiently as possible.

Ethics and Compliance Oversight
- Lead, continue to build, and manage “best in class” global compliance, regulatory and ethics programs.
- Drive the effective execution of the ethics and compliance program, including monitoring and auditing anti-corruption controls and policies, directing diligence of third parties, managing gifts and entertainment requests, participating in internal investigations, and assisting with training and communications.
- Provide high quality, practical and commercial advice/guidance regarding legal compliance risk areas and reputational risk management issues to a range of stakeholders within the company's global organization.
- Work to identify compliance and regulatory risks proactively, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Conduct regular interviews and visits of company’s offices to ensure consistency of approach to legal compliance issues across the company.
- Develop policies and procedures, to detect and deter illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to appropriately disclose risks.
- Identify, develop and implement enhancements to improve the effectiveness of various aspects of the ethics and compliance program. Provide input and implement process improvements based on the assessment of metrics, ethics survey results, audit results and other sources to enhance service quality and improve overall results.
- Advise the company’s executive management and local business units on the implementation of compliance programs.
- Working closely with Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERM), continue to design and lead risk assessments to identify risk, ensure appropriate controls are in place relating to compliance and regulatory risks, evaluate compliance controls, regularly monitor and test relevant controls.
- Ensure appropriate plans are taken to identify and remediate violations of laws, regulations and policies.
- Manage our 3rd party risk management program, including diligence, risk assessment and audit.
- Lead or support compliance related investigations (including government inquiries and whistleblower claims)
- Drive expansion of the use of automated systems to implement controls and process requests and approvals.
- Leadership - provide leadership, training and coaching to meet corporate and department objectives in harmony with the company’s stated values, Code of Conduct and objectives. Develop and lead productive and collaborative work teams/relationships both intra-departmentally and interdepartmentally with the goals of talent development, EBITDA attainment, efficiency creation, and enhanced communication.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- 7+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory and privacy experience inclusive of 4+ years global in scope
- Broad experience in a multi-national, public corporation environment including experience in FCPA laws and regulations
- Extremely organized and ability to multi-task effectively, managing multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
- Preferred - JD from accredited U.S. law School and is an active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar (and eligible to register in California as in-house). Ongoing professional education as required to maintain the license to practice, plus business-related educational seminars and/or coursework.
