We are seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst to steward the network landed cost with a key emphasis on delivered service to the end customer. This role is responsible for championing freight analysis, ensuring operations performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives for optimal network efficiency.

In this role, you will utilize your strong analytical skills to bring data together to generate actionable insights, and then drive that insight to completion.
This role is a one-year fixed-term position with company benefits.
Process Development
- Collaborates with customer service, supply planning, and 3PL partners to build processes in place to track delivered service
- Leads process redesign sessions for existing supply chain planning processes focused on improving the efficiency of the organization. Partners with supply chain team to map and document processes
- Provides key support to the development & implementation of processes and systems related to the ERP implementation: “Inventory to Deliver” processes
- Leads document and data architecture methodology to ensure data integrity and ease of access/integration
- Documents detailed current state processes; identifies and documents key business requirements and risks.
- Documents detailed future state processes as related to ERP implementation, identifies gaps between the current and future state and collaborates with business users to re-engineer processes to meet both the business needs and to fit within the selected systems standard architecture
Issue Resolution
- Actively leads and engages in issue resolution with supply chain partners globally.
- Identifies and prioritizes issues and risks. Leads team in developing action plans to mitigate risks.
Testing
- Partners with business users and develops detailed test scripts for and executes testing
Training
- Educates business users on future state business processes. Leads training of key processes and supports knowledge transfer to business end users
- Develops plans for implementation focused on training, parallel testing, and user adoption of system
Monitoring
- Partners with external vendors on monitoring connectivity, disruptions to the operations, and exceptions to the system process
- Escalates any system issues or process failures and collaborates with cross-functional team members for resolution
Logistics Operations
- Aggressively pursues and analyzes the development of opportunities to reduce waste in transportation, improve service, streamlining processes, increasing performance standards, and accuracy rate, increasing capacity, reducing materials costs. Doing so by working with materials planning, manufacturing, customer relations, sales, and marketing which will result in control of our costs and increasing contributions to EBITDA
- Utilizes a data driven approach and collaborates cross functionally to identify opportunities and optimize network landed cost and delivered customer service.
- Conducts scenario analysis for special projects to quantify cost and qualitative comparisons to aid in decision making
- Reports metrics to monitor performance of the distribution and transportation network, calculates targeted KPI performance goals to align with our business targets, and implements corrective actions
- Leads business process mapping sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs) to document detailed operational processes for ambiguous fulfilment channels
- Actively engages 3PLs in the market to undertake cost comparison exercises to benchmark current operational performance by mode. Utilizes the data to inform and make recommendations to leadership in driving an optimized network
- Owns Sarbanes-Oxley processes in Operations, embracing their continued integration into our business by (1) updating process narratives and flowcharts one month before quarter-end; (2) notifying the Director of Internal Control of: (a) process and/or control changes, and (b) control failures and inconsistencies; (3) continues process improvement to move towards a balance between the needs of Sarbanes-Oxley and business efficiency. This will result in consistent reliable operational and financial results which will contribute to increased EBITDA.
- Audits month-end financial analysis and control working closely with Finance and all Operations staff. Maintain financial tasks throughout the month to facilitate month end close (i.e., code invoices, establish and maintain auto voucher processes) which will result in control of our costs and increasing contributions to EBITDA.
- Guarantee the accuracy of the tables in ERP that drive operations functions including: Item Master, Location Master, Carrier Master, EDI 210 transportation invoices and other tables as identified resulting in superior execution and lower operating costs as well as increased customer satisfaction and sales.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
What You'll Bring to the Role
- 3-5+ years’ experience with process analysis and/or systems development
- 1-2+ years’ experience with project management where you were able to collaborate cross-functionally and drive consensus
- Experience in working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Tier 2 ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, Epicor, Infor, SAP S4)
- Experience with process analysis and process mapping for systems development
- Experience working in process improvement for logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science (preferred)
- Certified by professional associations and ongoing education in Supply Chain management research and education, a plus
