Would you like to create and develop e-Learning for one of the world’s most identifiable brands? This exciting new opportunity allows you to shape our E-learning programmes to meet the learning needs of our Global Tribe, customers and end users.
With a focus on our global strategic drivers this role works closely with our subject matter experts from across the business, and will transform complex information into clear, engaging, and interactive training for our Tribe Members.

- Design and develop eLearning courses, curriculum and training materials to meet the learning needs of our global tribe, customers and end-users as determined by WD-40’s strategic drivers and commercial learning projects and initiatives.
- Consult with internal customer/s (stakeholders) and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to establish clear learning objectives for training, understand and agree on the learning outcome/behavioral change required.
- Conduct learning needs/skill gap analysis, consult with SME’s to make recommendations for training, develop course outlines and curriculum design to align on a best approach ahead of final project development.
- Analyze and assimilate all source content material (.ppt, .doc, video, outlines, etc.), interpret and develop storyboards.
- Design and develop course modules, building the structure and flow of courses including interactive, gamification and graphic elements using platform-compliant authoring tools (i.e., Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, etc.) and publish to WD-40’s LMS platform, applying best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
- Authoring scripts that will become the voice over for eLearning courses and modules.
- Coordinate the translation of courses, via translation software or translation agencies with liaison via our in-country Branch Teams to verify content ahead of release.
- Design and incorporate assessments such as tests and quizzes to measure learner comprehension, retention and course effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Ideally, 5+ years of proven instructional design experience, eLearning courses and initiatives
- Minimum of 5 years using course authoring tools and proficiency with various LMS systems.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills in a direct or indirect technical sales capacity. Graphic design experience and presentation design using PowerPoint or other course authoring tools, Articulate Storyline 360 required.
- Illustration, animation, and video production experience.
- Proficiency with HTML, HTML5, and CSS and Flash programming.
