General Description:
Provides assistance with tax provision and tax package preparation, tax and financial statement audits. Assists with business analysis and insight in the areas of treasury reporting, process flow, accounts receivable and risk.
Minimum Requirements:
Education Completed: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics. CPA, CPA (candidate), MS or MBA desirable.
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office, with advanced level Excel skills. Experience with business applications, preferably Cognos.
Background & Expertise: 3-4 years multistate tax analysis experience, ability to conceive, construct and communicate tax and financial models, Big 4 experience preferred, experience in business process analysis /flow a plus, financial statement analysis a plus.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing annual tax provision and quarterly tax reconcilliation work papers.
- Assists in preparation of the annual tax package for a multi-state, multi-entity international company.
- Manages data collection and organization for tax and treasury needs.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly cash forecast and cash tracking.
- Assists in federal and state tax audits and tax notice management.
- Assists in financial statement analysis, process evaluation for accounts receivable.
- Assists in business analysis for all areas of the Company providing insight on process and business improvement.
- Uses system applications including Cognos Finance and Cognos BI to support tax, treasury and AR needs. Where appropriate, responsible for template development and monthly / quarterly uploads of data.
- Interacts with independent public accounting audit team and provides support as necessary.
- Consults with all other functions as necessary to gain information and insight, and achieve results that are aligned with corporate and functional goals of decreasing costs and optimizing revenue opportunities.
- Performs other related duties as needed to support corporate objectives. Acts in the best interest of the company by applying stated corporate values and priorities to all communications, decisions, and actions.
