Description:

Responsible for implementation of company approved programs and plan-o-grams at Home Depot. Emphasis in this role is placed on maximizing shelf space, correcting out of stocks, replace missing product tags and selling incremental displays of WD-40 products authorized at Home Depot.

Minimum Requirements:

Education Required:  College Degree or 2+ years sales/merchandising.
Background & Expertise: Big Box sales/merchandising preferred. Good oral and written communication skills.  Good organizational skills.
Applicable Experience: Selling and merchandising.
Computer Literacy:  Intermediate level MS Office applications.
Travel: Road Warrior
Work Hours: 6AM - 3PM

Summary of Responsibilities:

  1. Sell and merchandise all authorized WD-40 Company products by securing incremental off shelf displays, correcting out of stocks, replace missing product tags and maximize in aisle shelf space. Utilize all available display vehicles including stack displays, end caps, shelf strips and clip strips. Keep organization up to date on any new competitive activity/ information found in store.
  2. Distribution of approved items and department plan-o-grams at all assigned customers that meet standards and improved where possible.
  3. Partner with Home Depot store employees to place reorders thru normal process of ordering for each account.
  4. Responsible for building relationships with all key in-store Home Depot store personnel.
  5. Penetrate each assigned retail location to influence key retail employees.
  6. Provide timely, accurate and complete information concerning territory activity.
  7. Responsible for timely, accurate handling of paper work, expense reports, competitive activity and other special requests as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate account records including call activity, objectives, displays, purchases, key contacts, etc.
  9. Performs other work related activities as required to meet corporate objectives. Acts in the best interest of the company by applying stated corporate values and priorities to all communications, decisions and actions.
